The journey from digital solutions to AI-driven enterprise engineering is not simply about adopting newer technologies. It requires the ability to identify underserved markets, build practical solutions, develop resilient teams, and reinvent the business as technology evolves. This combination defines the entrepreneurial journey of Parikshit Talesara.

Parikshit Talesara, Co-Founder and CEO, Kansoft Solutions, holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and began his professional career with Oracle Corporation in 2004, spending seven years across Oracle India and Oracle Australia. The experience gave him first-hand exposure to how ERP systems could transform business operations.

In 2008, while he was still with Oracle, Parikshit founded Kansoft in Udaipur with the support of his father, M.L. Talesara, and his brother, Prashant Talesara. The company saw a clear gap: businesses in second- and third-tier cities lacked structured technology guidance, while larger IT service providers and ERP companies remained focused on bigger cities and enterprises.

That gap shaped a philosophy that continues to guide his leadership: technology must solve a genuine business problem while remaining practical for the organisation adopting it. Alongside Kansoft, he has cofounded Meddilink, a healthcare-focused EMR platform for IVF clinics, and Datareel, an AI-based personalized video communication solution for fertility clinics.

Kansoft has grown from serving businesses in emerging markets to becoming a global engineering partner. What were the key turning points in this journey, and how did international exposure shape the company?

Our early work was with manufacturing and process oriented industries in second and third-tier cities. The turning point came with our first projects for US partners, which changed how we structured the organisation and pushed our engineering teams to up-skill continuously.

Today, we have delivered more than 600 projects for over 250 clients across more than 25 countries, spanning cement and
Cable manufacturing, power transmission and renewable energy, infrastructure, healthcare, financial services and travel technology.

Our engineering hubs in Udaipur and Pune are supported by offices in Dubai, Lexington, St. Gallen and Sydney.

The bigger shift was from projects to partnerships. We do not lock clients in; we stay by delivery, and 95 per cent of our clients continue to work with us.

You have also explored specialised ventures such as Meddilink and Datareel. How do you identify opportunities for diversi -fication without losing focus on Kansoft’s core business?

We look for areas where technology is still developing or where generic software cannot meet specialised requirements. Meddilink, which I co-founded, emerged from our understanding of operational challenges in fertility care.

We built it as a domain-specific platform, and it now supports more than 250 IVF clinics across international markets, while Datareel applies AI to personalised video communi- cation in the same domain.

Engineering and technology services remain Kansoft’s foundation; specialised products allow us to convert market knowledge into scalable solutions.

Parikshit Talesara’s leadership reflects resilience, continuous reinvention, and a clear focus on turning technology into practical business value

How has your leadership role changed as Kansoft has grown, and what has the journey taught you about resilience?

In the early days, I was involved in every aspect of the business, from sales to hiring.

That approach would not scale, so my focus shifted to building the right people and systems, and to developing leaders who take ownership within an open-door culture.

Over nearly two decades, I have seen markets shift rapidly, technology evolve even faster and customer expectations change faster still.

At times, the assumptions behind parts of our business stopped being valid, and we had to reposition ourselves and cut back on certain activities.

You cannot wait for certainty. A leader must make the best decision possible with the information available and change course when the facts change.
Kansoft follows a ‘prototype first’ philosophy. How does this approach ensure that innovation translates into measurable business value?

We prototype before we propose. Before writing a proposal or a specification, our teams build a proof of concept, so estimates are grounded in reality and a flawed approach surfaces in the first week rather than the third month. Every engagement begins with success metrics agreed upfront, and we dedicate 10–15 per cent of engineering time to research and development.

For a renewable energy client, that meant an AI-powered geospatial platform that automates cable-route planning between turbines and substations, turning a slow, manual planning exercise into a fast, repeatable decision.

As Kansoft enters its next phase, how do you see AI reshaping technology services, and what is your vision for the organisation?

I believe AI will change the economics of technology services over the next three to five years. As it accelerates coding, testing and support, the model of selling effort and headcount weakens, and customers will increasingly pay for outcomes. We have chosen to lead that shift rather than protect the old model. For us, AI is not an add-on.

Each of our services that we sell; it has built-in AI delivery process and that is how Kansoft team delivers, and as a result we are already seeing modernization programs move from months to weeks. That moves the conversation from team size to results, timelines, and shared risk. It also changes who we hire: engineers who can frame the problem and judge the output, not just write the code.

Because clients trust us with their data and intellectual property, we apply AI within clear security and governance guardrails on every engagement. What AI cannot replace is domain knowledge and engineering judgement. Our next phase is about combining AI with both. My advice to anyone building a company is simple: solve a real problem, stay close to your customers, and reinvent yourself before the market forces you to.
