How do you apply skills acquired at IIT Hyderabad, both inside and outside the classroom, to your current role?
The master's program in entrepreneurship and manage¬ment taught me the basics of setting up a business. Not only did I learn industry-specific jargon, which proves valuable when conversing with industry experts, but I also learned how to develop a business model canvas and conduct market research and surveys.
We analyzed case studies to be better able to comprehend the challenges faced by companies, and studied theoretical models to equip ourselves on how to enter industries dominated by established players. These exercises taught me the importance of strategic planning and decision-making.
Which memory from your time at IIT Hyderabad stands out the most?
One of the most vivid memories I have of my time at IIT Hyderabad is from my final semester. My entire focus was on Ladder Guru, my final project, and I gave it my all in terms of organizing, investigating, and producing presentations. My busy schedule made it difficult to distinguish between day and night because I was completely preoccupied with perfecting every little detail.
I spent innumerable priceless moments with my friends while working late into the night and helping one another through the stress. It was an experience I will always treasure because of the harmony between hard work and friendship.
What would be the most valuable lesson you gained from IIT Hyderabad?
One of the most important lessons I took away from my time at IIT Hyderabad was staying true to one's beliefs, even when everybody around you does not agree with them. My journey had several ups and downs, however it instilled in me a fire to push my limits and prove the worth of my ideas.
How do you stay updated on industry trends to guide your organization toward the future?
My initial focus with Ladder Guru was entirely on mentoring. But after I graduated, I understood how important it is to combine sustainable business practices with a meaningful cause. This vision allowed me to expand and explore other perspectives as well.
I created the Growth Pod podcast series, which can be found on Instagram under the name Growth Pod and on my Youtube channel, Ladder Guru. The podcast features experts from unconventional fields such as political consulting, photography, filmmaking, and entrepreneurship. I was able to exchange pertinent insights with others and acquire useful knowledge about developing industries due to these discussions.
Beyond mentoring, I branched out into branding and consulting, providing services like creating corporate ads and providing brands with end-to-end operational support. To offer a comprehensive solution, I take care of everything for clients, from market penetration to ad production.

Music, in particular, is an unorganized industry, and I aim to bring structure by building a networked platform where all stakeholders such as lyricists, composers, singers, and producers, can collaborate seamlessly.
A significant future destination for me is consolidating all these diverse operations into a cohesive, organized workspace. I want to ensure a better efficiency, focus, and clarity in achieving my long-term vision by bringing together all my ventures under one roof.
Last but not least, my passion has always been sports. I want to look into opportunities that fit with my love for sports and make a contribution to this field.

As the sports secretary and captain of the basketball team at Mahindra University, Vishnu led his team to several tournament victories.
