  • Being a parent is tough and it is even more when you have an infant at home. Millennial parents comprise well informed moms and dads and they are more conscious of the products they choose for their babies. Having rebelliously deviated from the traditional practices, parents today are more attentive towards even the hint of discomfort to their children let alone Eczemaprone skin and diaper rash issues. Hence, the demand for eco-friendly organic baby care products is easily justified. Baby Amoré, a bespoke online marketplace for eco-friendly & organic baby products, was born out of the fatherhood experiences of two professionals and their desire to give the best of products to their babies, painting happy pictures in their families. Two cousins and childhood buddies hailing from Keelaikarai, a small coastal town in Southern part of TamilNadu, Hameed Imthad and Abdul Wahab founded Baby Amoré in 2019. Thanks to the exponentially growing awareness among parents, the marketplace became an instant hit and now manifests hundreds of products from more than 90 brands. CEO Insights interviews the co-founder duo, Abdul and Hameed, who walks us through the journey of Baby Amoré and its latest endeavors.

  • Top 10 Leaders in Baby Products - 2021

Baby Care Products Market size was valued at $12.91 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach $19.99 billion by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.65 percent from 2021 to 2028. The growing health concerns due to growing awareness is the reason for the growth of market in India. In near future, the rising per capita income and increasing infant population are expected to augment the market growth. There are still far rural areas in India which lack the awareness about the baby products and hygiene. Aids from social support systems such as WHO programs and NGOs are helping to create awareness about baby care products and their benefits among the rural population.

The raising prevalence of allergies in babies due to high pollution and drastic climate change causing diseases in babies are further boosting the baby care product market. The increasing concerns about the nutritional value of foods and health of babies are generating high demand for baby food products. Huge growth can also be witnessed in demand for products like prams &strollers, and car seats. The e-Commerce and increasing online availability of products is another factor boosting the market growth. Brands are widely popularizing their products through social media by creating awareness among youth.

Globally, Asia Pacific is projected to hold a substantial share in the market owing to the high birth rate, rising consumer awareness towards infant hygiene, and increasing family income. Multiple growth opportunities are predicted in China and India due to favorable government policies such as the 'Child Health Goal' under National Health Policy (2017) in India and the lifting of the one child policy in China.
