Yash Mohan has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources for Wells Fargo in India and the Philippines. He joins the financial services company after spending more than 15 years at BNY.
Having obtained a master’s degree in labour welfare from Symbiosis International University, Yash Mohan began his professional journey as a freelance journalist with HT Media Group. Almost four years into this job, he entered the HR arena, with an assignment as HR officer with Eagle Seals and Systems India, in 2002. Almost two years later, he moved to Ntrance Aviva Insurance as head of HR for a period of five years.
In May 2009, Mohan joined BNY as head of business HR. Within less than seven years, he was promoted to global HR head for global asset servicing. In 2020, he was again elevated to the position of global HR head for shared services and technology, as well as head of HR for India. A year and a half later, he took on the role of head of human resources for APAC and India, based in Singapore, where he successfully led the end-to-end people strategy for the bank across 12 countries in the region.
In his social-media post, Mohan expresses his eagerness ‘to champion growth, connection, and innovation in this next chapter’ where he hopes to build ‘something extraordinary together’ with the Wells Fargo team.
With over 22 years of experience in global human resources across banking, insurance, SaaS, and data analytics in India, APAC, and the Americas, Mohan is poised to be a valuable asset to Wells Fargo.
