imageIn a major leadership change at one of India’s top FMCG firms, Britannia Industries Limited has revealed important modifications to its senior marketing team, indicating a tactical effort to enhance its brand and growth strategy in a more competitive consumer landscape.

Britannia has designated Puneet Das as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), starting February 16, 2026, in a permanent employment capacity. The appointment occurs as the company deals with changing consumer preferences, trends toward premium products, and increasing competition in biscuits, snacks, and related categories.

Das verfügt über mehr als 24 Jahre Erfahrung in den indischen und internationalen FMCG-Märkten, einschließlich Afrika, Bangladesch, Myanmar und Sri Lanka. His professional journey includes high-level leadership positions at prominent companies like Marico Limited, PepsiCo India, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, and Tata Consumer Products Limited. He has been involved with renowned global and Indian brands such as 7Up, Boost, Horlicks, Tata Tea, and Tetley.

Industry experts see his hiring as a tactical decision by Britannia to enlist an experienced brand architect known for fostering growth, innovation, and marketing centered on purpose.

Concurrently, Britannia has promoted Siddharth Gupta from General Manager – Marketing to Vice President – Marketing, starting February 1, 2026.

Since 2018, Gupta has been at Britannia and is now responsible for leading the marketing of the company’s Biscuit, Wafer, and Snack portfolio, which is essential for driving revenue. His advancement signifies consistency in leadership and the cultivation of internal talent at Britannia.
