Facebook Rolls out New Program to Empower SMEsFacebook has introduced a set of new programs to support the small and medium business enterprises (SMEs) to sustain and propagate amidst the pandemic. The company has rolled out a dedicated offline to online SMB Guide to help SMBs in their journey from going offline to online. However, the guide has been developed to give a step-by-step direction on how the smallest of businesses could create a digital presence quickly and reach out to potential customers on the online platform. The platform supports Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and key themes such as building an online presence, social media advertising, mobile storytelling, and creative and performance strategies.

Facebook has announced that the offline to online SMB Guide for India is free and it is publicly available in English and Hindi as a measure to support a large number of businesses across the varied geographies. On the other hand, Facebook is proactively reaching out to over nine million SMBs across the country to make sure that it reaches the businesses that require it the most.

Along with the SMB Guide, Facebook is also launching another program with the company’s flagship skilling and learning program for scaling the young businesses. The program went virtual earlier this year owing to the pandemic and it is now going vernacular. However, it would be delivered primarily in Hindi even through Facebook Live sessions.

Furthermore, the company states that one of the key themes that have been discussed during Boost with Facebook that would help the small businesses can build for Diwali and the festive season beyond it. Alongside this, it would provide comprehensive support, especially during the festive season.

Eventually, Facebook has further introduced Season of Support, which is a dedicated resource to aid in boosting business and intensify sales for small businesses during the festival time. Furthermore, the company says that the resource enables small businesses to seek support from Facebook’s expert team and also use personalized resources to support them to reach their desired goals. As a part of this program, the company is providing short courses for a duration of ten minutes, and simple guides packed with insights on building an online presence. This would keep the audience engaged, as well as improve sales.
