IBM signs 10-year business deal with Bangalore International Airport

Recently, IBM and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which functions Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (KIAB/BLR Airport), announced a 10-year conglomerate underneath which IBM and Kyndryl will offer IT solutions to produce a new “Airport in a Box” podium that will care altering the end-to-end travel involvement for passengers at BLR Airport. The financial details of the deals were not disclosed.

BLR Airport required an agile, mountable, and cost-competitive technology and processes milieu that can increase its nimbleness and active flexibility to knob future growth in passenger traffic.

Once the podium is completely operative, IBM and BIAL plan to explore opportunities to advance the “Airport in a Box” platform as a keystone of innovation and transformation for the global travel and transportation industry.

The podium, IBM is emerging to support BIAL’s business evolution will be empowered by an inclusive set of IBM technology and services, enabled by an exposed hybrid cloud approach from IBM and reinforced Red Hat Ansible Automation. The podium also will generate AI-powered insights from IBM Maximo enterprise asset management technology to optimize inventory management and total cost of ownership.

IBM and BIAL will work to ensure that the platform supports BIAL’s commitment to sustainability and the community at large. BIAL recently achieved its goal of net energy neutral status in the financial year 2020-21, consuming energy from renewable sources. IBM works with more than 150 airports globally.
