In a significant stride towards fostering a greener future and enhancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in India, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) announced a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Ltd (ATEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Ltd. The agreement, inked on Thursday, outlines a strategic roadmap for the development of an expansive EV charging network across the nation.

This collaborative endeavor aims to facilitate the seamless integration of e-mobility solutions by ensuring widespread access to charging infrastructure for customers. The comprehensive framework encompasses aspects such as discovery, availability, navigation, and transactions within the charging network, as highlighted in a joint statement issued by the companies.

Veejay Nakra, President of M&M's Automotive Division, emphasized the significance of the alliance in augmenting EV charging infrastructure. He expressed confidence that customers, particularly those owning the Mahindra XUV400, would benefit from access to over 1,100 chargers through the Bluesense+ App, thereby enhancing their EV experience.

Suresh P. Manglani, Executive Director and CEO of Adani Total Gas Ltd, underscored the partnership's role in expanding the company's presence in the EV domain. He highlighted that collaborating with M&M for charging infrastructure would instill greater confidence among customers in adopting EV technology, contributing to India's energy transition objectives and aligning with commitments made at COP 26.

The collaboration between Mahindra and ATEL underscores the collective efforts needed to decarbonize transportation and advance towards a sustainable, electric-powered future, in line with global climate action goals. ATEL reiterated its commitment to supporting India's journey towards sustainability by providing clean energy solutions across diverse sectors.

The MoU between Mahindra and ATEL signifies a pivotal step in fortifying EV infrastructure and accelerating the adoption of electric mobility in India. It reflects a concerted push towards reducing carbon emissions and fostering a more environmentally conscious transportation ecosystem, in sync with the nation's aspirations for a cleaner, greener future.
