Nazara Technologies Acquires Curve Digital Entertainment Limited

Nazara Technologies has revealed the purchase of complete ownership in Curve Digital Entertainment Limited, a UK publisher of PC and console games, for Rs 247 crore ($29 million). The transaction is being carried out via its fully owned subsidiary, Nazara Technologies UK Ltd.
CDEL, a prominent video game publisher for console and PC systems, will transition into a subsidiary of Nazara after the deal. The agreement also encompasses Curve’s six subsidiaries, including Kuju Ltd, Runner Duck Games, and IronOak Games, which will become part of Nazara’s portfolio after finalization.
CDEL is being purchased from Catalis Group, a UK media and entertainment firm that possesses a collection of interactive entertainment and QA/testing companies.
The acquisition is in line with Nazara’s plan to enhance its presence in premium game publishing worldwide. Boasting a robust collection of original IPs and an established history, Curve announced revenues of Rs 263.5 crore and EBITDA of GBP 10.6 million (around Rs 120 crore) in CY24.
The purchase is anticipated to enhance Nazara’s standing in crucial gaming markets, such as the US, UK, Japan, and South Korea.
Nazara stated that the deal will be financed via intra-group debt and is anticipated to finalize within 45 days, pending regulatory approvals and other standard conditions.
Recently, Absolute Sports, a division of Nazara Technologies and the parent firm of Sportskeeda.com, finalized agreements to purchase TJRWrestling.net and ITRWrestling.com from Titan Insider Digital. In January 2025, it acquired two mobile games, King of Thieves and CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars, from Zeptolab for $7.7 million.
