According to the individual, the agreement appraises the company at $10 billion, excluding financial assets.

The enterprise will be predominantly owned and governed by OpenAI.

According to the individual, additional collaborators comprise Dragoneer Investment Group and SoftBank Group Corp., among others, along with a variety of consulting firms.

OpenAI and its competitor Anthropic PBC are actively competing to persuade a greater number of businesses to invest in their AI solutions as both companies are nearing potential initial public offerings, anticipated to occur as early as this year.

Additionally, Anthropic is engaged in discussions with private equity firms regarding the establishment of a comparable joint venture aimed at marketing its Claude AI technology.

The two artificial intelligence startups have experienced considerable success in marketing AI tools to software developers, enabling them to accelerate the coding process.

The objective is to leverage these connections to facilitate a broader adoption of AI across various businesses. Last month, OpenAI announced that Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap would transition into a new position where he will lead special projects. This includes overseeing the company's initiative to market software to businesses through a joint venture.

OpenAI has unveiled an enhanced security measure for ChatGPT accounts designed specifically for individuals who face a heightened risk of targeted cyberattacks and for those seeking additional safeguards for their accounts. This new optional feature, termed Advanced Account Security, is particularly advised for journalists, researchers, political dissidents, elected representatives, and any individuals who leverage ChatGPT for confidential personal and professional activities.

The recently introduced security enhancement encompasses account recovery by substituting the less secure methods of email and SMS recovery with more robust backup passkeys, recovery keys, and security keys. Nonetheless, OpenAI has emphasized that activating these account recovery options will render their support team incapable of aiding users in the account recovery process.

Enhanced Account Security minimizes the duration of sign-in sessions to mitigate the risk of unauthorized account access in cases of session or device breaches. Additionally, users will be notified of login activities and granted the capability to oversee active sessions.

Individuals who register for the new account security feature will additionally gain the advantage of automatic training exemption, ensuring that their communications are excluded from training AI models.
