Shriram Properties To Invest Rs.750 Crore Over Current Fiscal Year To Develop New Residential Projects

Shriram Properties will invest over 750 crore this fiscal year in the construction of existing and new residential projects as it seeks to expand its company amid robust housing demand, according to CMD M Murali. Shriram Properties, situated in Bengaluru, spent Rs 500 crore on construction activities in the previous fiscal year.

Shriram Properties chairman and managing director M Murali noted the company's 25% increase in sales bookings to an all-time high of 1,846 crore last fiscal, owing to larger volumes and better price realisation. When asked about his sales bookings aim for this fiscal year, Murali stated, "We are looking at about 20% growth in volume terms and 25% growth in value."

Sales volumes in the previous fiscal year were 4.02 million square feet, a new high, compared to 3.8 million square feet in 2021-22.

During the previous fiscal year, the average yearly sales realisation increased by 8% year on year.

Murali stated that Shriram Properties is currently building various housing projects and expects to launch additional home projects this fiscal year to capitalise on the growth in housing demand.

When asked about building spending, he stated, "last fiscal year, we spent 500 crore, and this year we aim to spend around 750 crore." This will mostly be in existing initiatives as well as some new ones that we will launch."

Shriram Properties has delivered 36 projects so far, mostly in Bengaluru and Chennai. It is currently developing 26 projects/phases and has another 25 projects in the pipeline.
