Singapore Business Federation Opens Centre in Bengaluru

The Singapore Business Federation has opened its fourth Singapore Enterprise Centre in Bengaluru, marking its first expansion outside Southeast Asia. The centeraims to help Singapore companies, especially SMEs, explore India’s fast-growing market through advisory services, networking, and business collaborations.
The new facility is part of GlobalConnect at SBF, a joint initiative of Enterprise Singapore and SBF that supports businesses in their overseas ventures. India, now the world’s fourth-largest economy with projected GDP growth of 6.6 percent in 2025, continues to be Singapore’s largest investment destination for the seventh year in a row. The SEC@Bengaluru plans to engage more than 470 enterprises over the next two years through trade missions and market access programs.
The centre was inaugurated by Gan Siow Huang, Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry; Shobha Karandlaje, India’s Minister for Labour and Employment and MSME; and Priyank M. Kharge, Karnataka’s Minister for Electronics, IT & Biotechnology, and Rural Development.
A MoU between LAC Global Pte Ltd and JVKM India was signed to boost cooperation in the wellness sector, combining Singapore’s science-based innovations with India’s traditional practices.
SBF CEO Mr Kok Ping Soon said the centre would serve as a single contact point for companies to “learn, land, and localise” in India, reinforcing the strong business partnership between both nations.

Tan Soon Kim, Deputy Managing Director, Markets, EnterpriseSG, added, “India offers vast opportunities in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, infrastructure, and urban solutions. The SEC complements our efforts to support Singapore companies participating in India’s growth story.”

Prasoon Mukherjee, Chairman of the SBF–India Business Committee says, “The Bengaluru Centre will empower enterprises from both nations with trusted partnerships and real-time market intelligence, turning the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ visions into cross-border success.”
