After realizing the future market scope of these sectors, H M Nagesh started the Bengaluru-based PHE, Electrical, and HVAC Consultancy Services firm HMN Techconsultants in 2005. Initially started as a PHE consultancy service firm, HMN has since grown into one of the leading Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire consultancy service companies under the able leadership of Nagesh, providing competitive and cost-effective service to its clients.

In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, Nagesh shares his early education and overall professional experience, the primary factors that contribute to the success of HMN Techconsultants and much more.

Tell us about your professional back ground and experiences. How would you define HMN Tech consultants as an organization and its position in the market?
I completed my engineering at PES College of Engineering, Mandya in 1999. Later I got training in BEML for one and half years before joining M/s Sanelac Consultants as a Junior Engineer and working there for two years. Later I joined S.K. Associates as one of the Chief Engineers and worked there till 2005. In 2005, I finally started HMN Tech consultants. Initially, we were offering only PHE consultancy services before expanding our service portfolio to cater to various sectors and expertise demands.

HMN Techconsultants is a Bengaluru based Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pipe consultancy service company. The firm has been providing a vast portfolio of services, such as Plumbing, Sanitation, Fire fighting, Rainwater harvesting systems, Sewage treatment plant, Electrical, HVAC, Liasioning, and so on to the residential sector, hospitality sector, and layouts all over India over the last 20 years. Over the years, the firm has become one of the leading service providers of quality service, cost-effective designs, and deliverables. In terms of client base, the firm believes in business growth through effective service delivery instead of opting for marketing strategies, and most of its clients are gained through positive word of mouth.

Tell us about the professional experience and expertise of your team. What strategies are implemented to keep your employees updated with the latest technologies/ industry trends?
Based on the specialized skillsets, there are various departments at HMN Tech consultants, such as the Electrical department, Plumbing, Sanitary and Fire fighting
department, HVAC department, and so on. Each of the departments is well equipped with all the latest technologies and is abreast of all the latest design trends and technologies. Nowadays, we follow all the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) regulations and requirements while providing our services and also opt for various ecofriendly as well as energy conserving designs such as water conservation, and solar energy.

How has the expansion of HMNTech consultants been since its inception? What elements have contributed to your organization's success?
Started in 2005 with just two employees, HMN Techconsultants have come a long way with a current employee strength of around 50. We

at HMN understand the importance of establishing good & long lasting working relationships with the project team by providing state-of-the art design, solutions, timely delivery & integrated services well within the parameters of time and cost. The firm has been operating for the last two decades to render the quality, innovative, cost effective, proven design and competitive services to its clients. We have separate departments at the firm based on individual specialization in expertise. Services and designs provided by the firm always strictly follow NBC guidelines.

Customer centricity has always been at the core of our operations, which also helped the firm in building longterm relationships. We always try to provide immediate response to our client's queries even on weekends. Ensuring a positive customer experience, and making available goods and/or services of topnotch quality has always been given prime importance.

Going forward, what are your future roadmaps for HMN Techconsultants?
In the last 20 years, HMN Techconsultants has grown into one of the leading service providers solely based on its cost effective, competitive service and customer centricity. We neither practice nor believe in any marketing practices and a majority of our client base is due to positive word of mouth. Over the years, we have also worked on many projects, Prestige Projects, Godrej Projects, DNR Group, Pride Group and many more. The majority of the projects that we have worked on or are working on are state-government and central government projects. Presently we are working on the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Projects all over Karnataka. We are also working on the government's Smart City Handling project.
