Brief us on the inception of the institution
The LDR International School is founded in the memory of Late DiptibenRaval, looking forward to the Excellence of Our School and its Students in all directions. LDR International School is a school rich in tradition, ethics, and maintaining values. At LDR, our students are at the heart of every decision. Everything we do is about ensuring their experiences here help them to develop in a caring, supportive environment with a strong pastoral structure at the center of the school. Year 1 to 3 students continue to learn reading and writing using the Letters and Sounds phonics program first introduced in Junior as part of our pre-literacy program.
Our literacy CAFE (Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, Expand Vocabulary) system is a comprehensive set of reading strategies taught from Year 1 to Year 6. It is a progressively bigger emphasis is placed on vocabulary acquisition, grammar, and punctuation.
A class consists of 15-20 students with an overall teacher-student ratio of 1:20, which is adequate to provide students with individualized care and attention. Extra academic support is offered at the school in the form of Remedial classes, which are offered for four major subjects if the students are identified as eligible for these classes or upon special consideration.
