In an exclusive interaction with CEO Insights, Ram Avtar, CMD, Swadeshi Civil Infrastructure walks us through his personal and professional life along with the unique traits of the company,
Tell us about your educational and professional journey? How do you apply your expertise in your endeavours?
I am a postgraduate in commerce. I founded SCIPL in 1977 with a small contract and today I am the CMD of a company which is classified as Class-1 Super A category with CPWD. The company is capable to bid for a single project worth Rs. 650 Crore. Our contributions to the infra industry with International Standards and vision towards building High Class projects with excellent quality and timely delivery has paid us various rewards and recognitions. We have received many awards towards our work.Our firm belief, honesty and precision are reflected in our work.
With the support of all our staff, Associates, Suppliers and their commitment towards work has made us achieve what we are today and able to deliver projects of paramount nature.

Define Swadeshi Civil Infrastructure as an organization? How it is different from its peers?
Swadeshi Civil Infrastructure has done a tremendous job in Infra Industry.The company has constructed some of the most notable and prestigious buildings in the country. The company has more than forty years of experience in the field of infrastructure construction and development. Apart from constructing office complexes, SCIPL is also involved in developing local infrastructure for general public utilities such as stadiums, hospitals, auditoriums, community parks, and more. One of the major strengths of the company is, that it can complete projects of large magnitude and complex nature before the contracted schedule. The company has maintained a set track of completing projects in a stipulated period and thereby received high accolades and rewards for such dedication towards work.
The firm is financially sound and well equipped technically to take on projects of high worth, more over, all of this is possible because of the effective teamwork of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated engineers and technicians. Another major reason behind the success of the company is the zeal for developing new techniques to complete a project of a high degree in the minimum possible time.
Describe the accomplishments that you have achieved in your journey? what is the success mantra that helps you to deliver positive outcomes?
Some of the proudest achievements are as follows, the existing roof of the I.G. indoor stadium was lifted by eight point zero meters without disturbing the indoor floor, walls or other structural works. New building for the Ministry of Environ ment and Forest, Indira Paryavaran Bhawan New Delhi, is the Green Building with the highest rating in India. This project also received Griha five star rating.
Fascade Lighting at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Minto Press, MP Flats at BD Marg, IIT Kanpur campus are some of our current delivered Projects.

The construction industry in India constitutes of real estate as well as urban development segments. For more clarity, the realestate segment covers offices hotels, and leisure parks, whereas the urban development segment covers subsegmentssuch as sanitation, water supply, and schools, healthcare, and others. By the year 2025, it is expected that the construction business market of India will emerge as the third-largest globally with exponential growth of seven point one percent annually.
