The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a deemed to be university and one of India's premier research-centric educational institutions, recently achieved a commendable feat. MAHE has ascended to the 175th rank in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings, achieving an overall score of 43.6. This advancement signifies a substantial elevation of 75 places from its previous position within the 251-300 band. The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings, published in May 2024, rank the world's top universities that have been established within the last 50 years, specifically those founded from 1974 onwards.
The lion’s share of credit goes to MAHE’s educational approach, which is firmly rooted in bridging the industry-academia gap. For instance, MAHE recently joined hands with CliniExperts - one of India's leading research-to-regulation groups that offers comprehensive clinical research and regulatory services to the healthcare, MedTech, and pharmaceutical industries. The newly forged alliance is set to significantly contribute to the development of a comprehensive wellness framework nationwide. The partnership between CliniExperts and Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore - a key division of MAHE -will encrust integrated research, trials, and innovative initiatives, leveraging their combined expertise and resources. Envisioned as a sustained academic-industry collaboration, this venture will encompass a broad spectrum of cooperative endeavors, ranging from research and clinical trials to academic inquiries, investigator-led studies, and extensive epidemiological research. It’s no wonder MAHE continues to add feathers to its cap. This special yearly issue of CEO Insights sheds light on the prestigious alumni ecosystem of MAHE. Do let us know your thoughts.
