In today’s world, where diseases and ailments are growing at breakneck speed, the healthcare industry in India has been growing at an unprecedented speed as well. Data suggests that in 2016, the Indian healthcare industry was valued at $86 billion. Expected to grow at a CAGR of 22 percent, the healthcare sector will be worth a whopping $638 billion by 2025.
However, challenges prevail. The industry is still grappling with inadequate infrastructure, lack of trained medical professionals and more. Bringing widespread access to healthcare in both rural and urban set-up is another challenge that ails the Indian healthcare sector.
