As an academic hub, India is recognized globally for its premier engineering institutes like IITs and NITs. It’s no secret that students from these colleges are at the top of the business world and behind some of the world’s unicorns. Over the past several decades, they have been at the forefront of innovations, producing fantastic business ideas and creating a safer, better, sustainable world. Indeed, it all starts from within the campus’ research-oriented academia. It is no coincidence that the students from these institutes often find simpler
solutions to the most complex societal problems, land their favorite jobs worldwide and even become world renowned personalities.

This year, the Indian Institute of Management- Rohtak (IIM-Rohtak) became one of the first IIM to complete the placements for the batch of 2021-2023. The PGP Class of 2023 comprises 237 students, with 158 female and 79 male students having an average work experience of 19 months. According to an internal report, the top 10 percent of the batch landed jobs with an average of Rs.34.68 lakh per annum, the top 25 percent and 50 percent received an average of Rs.27.15 lakh per annum and Rs.22.64 lakh per annum, respectively.

The highest package stood at Rs.36 lakh per annum, and the overall average package was Rs.18.73 lakh per annum, making the placement round better than last year’s. The average package of Rs.18.73 lakh per annum is a 16.7 percent increase compared to last year’s average package of Rs.16.06 lakh per annum. It also manifests the corporate world’s renewed interest in campus hiring post-pandemic.
