It is never too late to learn, and nobody is wise enough to stop learning in their career. In fact, in this tech-ade, wherein information and even professional courses are at your fingertips, there is no excuse to stop constantly updating and upgrading yourself. It’s a great omen that top universities in the country are providing educational courses to working professionals, considering the very fact that they are working. Let’s look into a small example. A few months ago, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani conducted a unique convocation using Metaverse and awarded degrees to over 7,000 working professionals.
The afore mentioned professionals graduated from the institution’s Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP) division in MBA, MTech, MSc, and BTech programs. While about 1,000 graduates attended the convocation in person, more than 6,800 got to use the Metaverse and participate virtually from 26 different countries. IIM Bangalore has also inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FPSB India, the professional standards-setting body for financial planning in India, to jointly offer an Executive Education Program in Financial Planning. This new program is designed for working professionals and students to cater to the growing demand for advanced financial planning education. In the aftermath of the collaboration, both institutions will jointly organize events, including workshops, seminars and conferences, to foster knowledge exchange and networking opportunities for professionals and students alike. The opportunities are humongous for bettering your career, be it at any stage. Through this special yearly issue, we delve deeper into the learning & development scenario in the country. We heartily welcome your thoughts about this special edition.
