Your strong professional experience around supply chain is acknowledgeable. How do you look back at your professional journey?
I vividly remember it was a Friday, 2nd June 1995, when I first landed in Dubai, U.A.E. I arrived on Emirates Airlines around 6:00 am. I was only 19 years old then and started my career as a warehouse assistant. My uncle, late Purshotam K Satwani, and my aunt, Rani Satwani, gave me a chance to come to Dubai and since then there has been no looking back. I worked with him for almost 12 years. By God’s grace and with a lot of gratitude, I say this has been a wonderful journey.
Since then, I have been in and around the supply chain industry representing through different platforms of retail, FMCG, F&B, e-Commerce and logistics companies. Hence, the experience gave me good exposure to realize the challenges that customers face while managing their supply chain and at the same time the support & assistance required from their channel partners.
How do you find these experiences beneficial in creating innovative and sustainable business prac- tices for organizations?
In 2020, life presented me with the opportunity to start my own business with the support of my elder sister, Mamta Prem Kumar Shanmuga Bhagchandani. Thus, Bhavya Haulage was founded just before the announcement of
the COVID-19 lockdown. Prior to this, I had worked for nearly 25 years, collaborating with my suppliers for forward planning, express solutions, and assistance in ensuring business continuity in supply chain and logistics.
Bhavya Haulage, based in Jebel Ali Free zone, Dubai, focuses on land freight in the UAE, GCC, and Levant region. We deliver international standards of land freight and border clearances across the region. Recognizing the challenges our clients face in their businesses, our solutions are strategically designed with a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability, always tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers.
How do you help companies grow their supply chain network, on the same?
Every project we undertake aims to add value. We begin by understanding our clients' challenges and then develop holistic solutions. Under standing our clients' pain points is crucial for providing meaningful and effective solutions.
We have successfully helped clients scale from 3-4 trucks per month to nearly 90 trucks per month within 6-7 months through trust and transparent com - munication. Our focus is on delivering sustainable, cost-effective, and innovative solutions that allow for scalable operations, leading to business growth. With a well-defined plan in place, managing continuity becomes significantly viable once the business is on a growth trajectory.
Our client’s sphere is across various industry segments such as Retail & e-Commerce, Electronics, Building Materials & Electrical Equipments, Steel & Aluminium, Pharmaceutical, Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders, Logistics Companies etc., catering them with UAE (local) & Cross-border move - ments.
Based on customer’s business requirements, we offer array of services such as Integrated Trucking solution, cross-border clearances, Freezone Move - ments, and Door to Door services.
Ancillary support mechanism is also available to the likes of arranging Shipping Documents, IOR & EOR services. Clients can avail this service in UAE & across GCC.
You are also a supply chain strategist with strong problem-solving capabilities. Could you share your expertise in ensuring an ease process with respect to the transportation and shipment arrangements?

Yes, we have so many case studies. It is very important for our team to know the client/ prospects pain areas or the troubled resources. Many a times client do not open up so soon, there is some hesitation and it could be due to their past experience with other vendors probably or the reasons they know better.
Once we identify the related challenges that are holding back the growth of our client’s business, the solution comes automatically. We don’t have to invent anything, we try to keep things simple & straightforward. Once the solution is put to process & implemented, then it becomes an autopilot mode for the client.
How have you shaped the culture of the team? Delineate your training and performance excellence contri - butions towards the company’s progress?
Smart work is better than hard work. The environment we are trying to create here has a different approach. An organic growth plan is always long-lasting and sustainable, but if we come across good opportunities, we try to take advantage of them.
However, all of this is only possible with the team's contribution. As part of the personal development and continuous learning program, senior management ensures the deployment of resources that focus on areas of improvement for each team member. This encourages members to evolve and enables them to be eligible for the next level of growth.
Where do you see yourself headed in the upcoming years?
We are in expansion mode and would love to see ourselves becoming a regional company with multiple presence spread across UAE & GCC region.
Anticipating the future market outlook, do you have any advice for budding industry leaders?
Budding leaders are already leaders, but as for advice, I would say the industry is likely to grow as the Etihad rail network is going to get launched soon and we anticipate lot of opportunities coming from that front as well.
UAE and its Leadership has always given lot of growth opportunities to the people who have been part of it. Therefore, I truly believe that the business and its learning will only be prosperous in the days to come.
