Take us through your professional journey so far. What inspired you to start this venture in the smart lighting segment?
After my graduation from RVCE, Bangalore, I started my profession in the research and development wing of Asian Electronics Limited, Nashik where I was exposed to automatic and dynamic lighting controls. Though I agree this was an extremely niche segment back then, I was very excited to be a part of something new. Post my tenure in AEL, I was associated with Wipro Lighting for over six years. I always wanted to do something on my own and with the experience I gained in AEL and Wipro Lighting, I started IDEAA-Z in 2014 and fortunately have been a part of an amazing journey till date.
How would you define ideaa-z and its position in the market as an
organization? In what ways is yourcompany aligned towards energy consumption?
We are one of the leading smart lighting solutions providers in the industry having a market share of over 50 percent. As an organization, our topmost objective is to take care of our customers and provide them the services in every possible way. Lighting plays an important role in an office environment not only by making the space look beautiful and vibrant but also by improving the occupant's comfort and productivity. We try to reduce the excess energy utilized by maintaining the desired output levels in line with the occupant's desires. We are proudly associated with more than 50 green buildings in providing the smart lighting and control solutions.
Tell us about the unique crafting personalized solutions that your organi zation offers to the customers.
Every customer is unique and different in terms of the office architecture, requirements, lighting and budget and we are happy to serve all of them. Be it a simple room solution or a large campus solution and a solution for an inter national airport, we would be excited in providing the state of the art, crafted and personalized solutions to everyone. We make sure that the people who work under these smart lighting solutions are at their best comfort.
Our unique proposition is our ability to address everyone in the minimum amount of time, be it providing the design to the new facility, execution of a project or serving the customer post execution. We want to be with the customer in each step of their requirements.

The pandemic has definitely thrown a lot of challenges on us but fortunately, our team has adjusted to the situation and is serving the customers in the best possible way. Smart solutions have become even smarter in having less touch points, controlling and monitoring from remote locations, supporting customers remotely.
Throw some light on the milestones that bestowed you with utmost satisfaction both as an individual and as an entrepreneur.
Successfully adapting to the challenges thrown by this pandemic, taking care of the customers and also ensuring the safety of our team till date, are some of the milestones that give me utmost satis factions. In the past 18 months we have been providing solutions to over five million Sq Ft safely and ensured complete satisfaction of our clients.
What are the opportunities that you foresee in the everyday changing market behaviour of the industry?
The commercial market is moving in the right direction and is improving at a fast pace. People now have started to think about IoT, smart controls and automation, lower touch points which is key for covid appropriate behaviour and definitely is the need of the hour. I certainly believe the segment will grow and opportunities will increase in the coming time.
