As an alumnus from Kasturba Medical College, what have been the most trans -formative learning experiences during your time there?
Kasturba Medical College was truly a game-changer in my life. I often tell juniors that my vision, values, and professional direction were shaped during my time at KMC.
Whatever I am today is largely due to the high teaching standards, strong ethics, scientific approach, and exposure to technology, along with my advanced training at IKDRC, where I specialized in urology.
I was fortunate to be mentored by Dr Pranjan Modi, one of the
world’s most respected urologists, and guided by senior colleagues like Dr Jamal. With their blessings, I have performed over 700 kidney transplants in Noida so far.
What made KMC exceptional was the daily involvement of Senior Faculties, Professors, Dean, and Vice Chancellor, who taught us both academics and real-life practice. From the first year itself, each student had a local guardian for personal or academic support. Coming from UP to Manipal at 17, that support system meant everything.
How did the KMC Manipal’s alumni network guide you throughout your journey?
The KMC alumni network played a crucial role during key academic and career decisions. Seniors guided us on what to study, which colleges or branches to apply for, and the long-term prospects of different speciali-sations, especially during pre-competitive examinations.
Even later, alumni support extended to professional life through hospital references and patient referrals. Beyond guidance, what I cherish most is the vibrant, youthful spirit of KMC. I made some of my closest friends there, and we remain connected even today, often reliving those memories during reunions.
What is your perspective on emerging technology trends in the medical sector, and how have these innovations been integrated into patient care at PrimaCare Super Speciality Hospital?
We have built a 100-bedded hospital equipped with modern infrastructure and the latest medical amenities. Digital health has become extremely important today, and at PrimaCare, we are steadily integrating technology-driven solutions.
Going forward, we plan to introduce advanced innovations such as robotics and AI, which will be a key part of our future roadmap. We have also successfully initiated a kidney transplant program at PrimaCare.
Medical technology is evolving rapidly, and in the coming years, AI will significantly influence healthcare. Being proactive, adaptable, and prepared for these changes is crucial to delivering better patient outcomes.
How would you describe your leadership style, and what principles guide you in leading and motivating your team?
I strongly believe in discipline, balance, and leading by example. As a leader, I believe in being deeply involved with my team and taking responsibility for everyone, from junior staff to senior doctors. It’s important to create a transparent, ethical, and respectful work culture that people trust and feel proud to be part of.
I keep my door open to all, whether it’s support staff or

I keep my door open to all, whether it’s support staff or
consultants, so anyone can approach me directly to discuss challenges or ideas. Leadership to me is about accessibility, accountability, and setting an example others naturally want to follow.
What new goals or directions are you most excited to pursue going forward?
I will be doing hands-on training in AI and train myself in robotic surgeries as technology is becoming an integral part of healthcare. We have recently started another venture in the longevity and functional medicine space called Aarogyam Longevity.
We have brought on board a strong team of experienced doctors in functional medicine along with skilled nutritionists, and we are in the process of building this vertical further. Looking ahead, I truly believe the next five years in healthcare will be largely driven by AI, advanced technology, and a growing focus on longevity and preventive medicine. Aarogyam Longevity is going to add health to you life and improve your lifespan.
What is your advice for budding industry leaders?
Always listen to your heart and stay true to your training. In medicine, ethics must come first and money second. Treat every patient with honesty, compassion, and sincerity. When you practice ethically and transparently, success follows naturally. Money becomes a byproduct of meaningful work, never the goal. Let your actions and integrity speak for your success.
