Fueled by the augmented support from the Government and enhanced technological advancements, the sector not only has become lucrative from investors' perspective, but is also witnessing the arrival of some of the phenomenal leaders who are eager to introduce their innovative insights across this domain. One such entrepreneur is K. Saravana Kumar the Managing Director of KS Wind & Renewables. Saravana Kumar is acknowledged for penetrating deeper into analysis and performing risk assessment during the different stages of the projects, and commissioning them within the stipulated period. What different roles have you been under taking at KS Wind & Renewables?
I have handled various positions in my previous organization as Head Business Development, Head Project Development and have ample experience in Project execution.

I was also involved in Site Resources Arrangement & Management, Material Management, Procurement & Technical Analysis of customer requirements towards completion of entire projects within the committed time duration.

What are the various services pro
vided by KS Wind & Renewables and what is your flagship service?
As a firm which is one of the growing Infrastructure Developing Organization involved in the construction of Electrical and Civil construction in the power sector, some of our service offerings include Favorable Site identification, Site Surveying & Line Route Surveying for EHV Transmission Lines, Obtaining statutory approvals and sanctions from the government bodies, Land acquisition (Private, Forest or Revenue) Establishment of Civil and Electrical infrastructure, Construction of Power Evacuation system Substations, EHV lines,HV lines, Load flow studies, Technical due diligence, PPA documentation and co-ordination and so on.

We have continuously received repeat orders from our various prestigious customers, triggering long term business relationships in the renewable sector


How has the pandemic impacted the Renewable Energy industry? What are the major hurdles witnessed by KS Wind & Renewables due to the pandemic and how did you manage to overcome them?
All works have been initialized at our various sites at different states only after getting procedural permission from the respective collector jurisdiction zone as per appropriate State Government guidelines. We received E-Pass and collector permission for all our mobilization vehicles at site vicinity during the Covid-19 pandemic period.

Our team maintained several checklists to ensure that all workers & team members are covid free personnel and they have not undergone any covid treatment/they have not worked in the surroundings of covid positive personnel or past they did not visit any containment zone.

All Migrant workers' details have been submitted to concerned State government officials towards performing RT-PCR tests and towards conducting Covid-19 Awareness training program for all personnel. In respect to the Covid-19 pandemic situation faced by our organization,we have provided food
to our all workers and safe accommodation has been ensured to them with a separate corona isolation room in their camp area. We have arranged for required buses to shift the workers from the work area to reach their native place from our end after getting procedural permission from the respective zonal collector.

What are the short term, long term goals of your organization and what are the steps taken to achieve those goals?
Within a short span of four years, our company has put in over hundred Crores in turnover, which we consider as our major achievement in our professional journey. We have received applauding notes from our prestigious customers for various projects towards completion of Total Safe Man hours. Getting two new customers and meeting turn over growth of fifty percent is our short term goal for now and as our long term goals, we want to achieve 1000GW as an EPC in the Renewable Sector. We are also talking to various abroad suppliers for technology transfer/JV Partners to update the latest technology in the renewable industry.

What are the implementations that you establish in KS Wind & Renewables which could meet up the customer satisfaction level?
We have continuously received repeat orders from our various prestigious customers, triggering long term business relationships in the renewable sector. All safety precautions and many improvements for workplace safety have been implemented in our projects and the same has been addressed by our customers and simultaneously those were very helpful for our team to display to our various customers during auditing & as well as during Vendor assessment.
