Telemedicine, e-pharmacy, fitness, wellness, healthcare IT, analytics, home healthcare, and individual health supervision are the six divisions that make up the healthcare technology market. The Indian healthcare technology industry is anticipated to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 39 percent between FY2020 and FY2023 and reach US $50 billion by 2033. Fusing innovation, technology, and experience into creating a fully digital 24x7 post treatment care platform, Gleeo Health, founded by Mukta Arora is swiftly revolutionising the Indian Healthcare sector. Addressing the pertinent hindrances of the Healthtech segment, Mukta is leveraging technology to provide realtime patient care solutions. A seasoned professional with a stellar professional background, and a pioneering entrepreneur, Mukta Arora is setting an example for the future generations to drive for the greater good of the man.

Here are some highlights from our interaction with Mukta.

Tell us about your professional background and experiences. What inspired you to venture into the healthcare segment?
My inspiration comes from the passion for improving the lives of patients, their families, and communities. Prior to founding Gleeo Health, I worked in the healthtech industry for over three decades. One of the largest companies in the sector, Aster Healthcare, appointed me as its Group CIO. I was responsible for creating and deploying digital solutions for major healthcare organisations in my prior positions as Vice President, Head Healthcare at HCL Technologies, and leadership positions at Dell, CSC, and Apollo Hospitals. I founded Gleeo Health by fusing my indepth expertise in healthtech with my passion for improving patient care.
Define Gleeo Health as an organization and how is it different from other hospitals present in the country?
Gleeo's mission is to provide care outside of conventional boundaries. We offer patients with post acute and chronic medical issues, extensive and customised remote treatments. We differ significantly from conventional healthcare organisations because Gleeo is a digital organisation offering patient care around the clock through its committed care team and patent filed digital platform. As needed, the care team conducts therapeutic interventions thereby enabling patients to benefit from a stress-free recovery process. Additionally helping hospitals, insurance companies, and corporates through IoT, Cloud, AI, and analytics technologies for Remote Patient Monitoring are unique propositions offered by Gleeo.

Reflect on some of the major challenges you have experienced in your journey so far? How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
Instead of a physical location, cutting-edge technology is essentially what makes up digital healthcare delivery. Essentially, there have been two significant obstacles:

Our biggest hurdle has been to find a way to take closed loop, continuous healthcare to patients' homes. We use our medical grade app and medical IoT devices to measure a variety of health indicators and obtain realtime health updates. We leverage AI and analytics to enhance our preventative care services. The second challenge has been dealing with patients as they have little experience with medical monitoring technology. Our app is easy to use for patients of all age groups, which gives them the ability to act independently and take charge of their health.
Digital health can improve patient safety, efficiency, quality and delivery of healthcare.

Share about the facilities you offer at Gleeo Health? What are the recent tools and technologies you are using to treat the patients more effectively?
After discharge, chronic care, maternity, infertility,COVID, cancer, and cardiovascular monitoring services are offered by Gleeo. Through a single mobile app, patients may connect to devices, receive medical and therapeutic care, access curated educational resources, and engage with the care team. To keep things simple, patients can subscribe to pooled services for a predetermined duration and renew subscription as necessary. The family option allows members to use shared gadgets.

Going forward, what are Gleeo’s goals for the future?
The long term objectives of Gleeo include providing patient care across numerous geographies and improving the accessibility and quality of healthcare.

What will be your advice for the upcoming generation of industry leaders and entrepreneurs who aspire to make a career in the healthcare segment?
Healthcare organisations are becoming increasingly interested in digital health ecosystems and patients prefer convenient, unified experiences than standalone ones. Leaders in the healthcare sector should therefore make a hasty effort to develop a digital ecosystem roadmap by considering their position, size, business model, cultural fit competencies, experience, current partnerships and national restrictions.
