Nidhi Motwani
Executive Director
Known for its multi-city global programs and experiential learning approach, the institute emphasizes a balance of academic rigor, practical exposure, and cross-cultural understanding.
Over the years it has produced a remarkable network of alumni who have gone on to lead and innovate across diverse industries, including technology, entre preneurship, consulting, and manufacturing. Among these distinguished alumni is Nidhi Motwani, Executive Director at HP Adhesives Limited.
During her academic journey at S P Jain, Nidhi undertook internships with Philip Morris and Suzlon, gaining early exposure to corporate environments. While enrolled in the Dubai chapter, she worked with CEM, a Microsoft partner, where she was involved in selling ERP solutions. After returning to India, she joined Fitternity, a start-up founded by her sister-in-law, contributing in marketing and branding roles for two years.
In 2016, Nidhi transitioned full-time into the family business, HP Adhesives Limited (formerly HP International). Initially focusing on marketing, she gradually found her true calling in factory operations, a domain she has been leading successfully for nearly a decade. Her journey reflects a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit, embodying the global outlook and practical adaptability that S P Jain School of Global Management instills in its students.
As an alumnus from S P Jain School of Global Manage- ment, what were the most transformative learning
experiences during your time there?
Studying at SP Jain, in Singapore and Dubai, was truly transformative for me. It gave me the ability to adapt to different cultures and work effectively with vendors and customers from diverse backgrounds, skills that became invaluable when I traveled abroad for HP Adhesives.
Experiencing cross-cultural learning firsthand made me appreciate how much mindset and exposure matter; I only realized what culture shock was when I saw others experience it for the first time.
Additionally, SP Jain had exceptional marketing professors who shaped my under standing of global marketing and branding. These learnings were crucial during my time at Fitternity and later helped me navigate HP Adhesives’ export-focused growth when I joined the family business in 2016.
How has the Institute helped you to further your passion for entrepreneurship and sharpen your business acumen?
My passion for entrepreneurship has only deepened with a better understanding of its many dimensions. I believe under standing builds confidence, and confidence turns ideas into action. The program at SP Jain, with its well-structured curriculum and inspiring faculty, played a major role in this growth.
What I appreciated most was the openness to ideas, the professors encouraged us to think in terms of “how can this work?” rather than dismissing possibilities. That mindset shift shaped the way I approach business challenges even today.
It instilled in me a problem solving attitude that continues to drive innovation and creative thinking at HP Adhesives.

Illustrate the accessibility of faculty from your time at S P Jain School of Global Management. How have you made use of the alumni network when you were a student and after gra- duating?
The faculty at SP Jain brought together decades of real-world experience and case studies, which they shared with great enthusiasm both during and beyond class hours. Their openness made learning deeply engaging, we often stayed back after lectures to discuss ideas, clarify doubts, or explore new perspectives. Living in the campus hostel made these interactions even more accessible, creating a close knit academic environment that encouraged constant learning.
Tell us about your leadership approach. What are the guidelines or methodologies you follow as a leader?
I strongly believe that our business has reached where it is today because of the people who have worked tirelessly alongside us. For me, it has always been people first. Leadership isn’t just about treating your team well, it’s about empowering them. I make it a point to give my colleagues the freedom to make decisions, implement their ideas, and take ownership of their work. When people feel trusted and valued, their confidence grows and so does their sense of responsi -bility. That sense of ownership is what truly drives progress and builds a strong, motivated team.
What is the future destination you are heading towards?
My focus remains on developing new product lines, and I plan to continue expanding in this direction. Going public has provided us with the resources to explore products adjacent to our core business. Since we operate in the adhesives sector, there are many opportunities in related building materials. Through technology transfers or strategic joint ventures, we aim to broaden our offerings and grow our product portfolio horizontally, strengthening our position in the market while continuing to Winnovate.
