With over a decade of experience in strategic finance,corporate restructuring, fund-raising, taxation, reporting, and mergers & acquisitions, Pradeep has built a strong reputation for delivering precision in fast paced, high-growth environments. Playing a key role in the Flipkart, and Walmart acquisition, Pradeep went on to play further leadership roles at Dunzo and Razorpay, where he helped in several successful fundraises.

Pradeep’s technical experience in compliance, management, financial controls and accounting has enabled him to design and implement strategies that enable business growth. Simplification of complexity and execution and added value over and over again remains his professional momentum. The first reverse merger between the US and India through a cross border merger and the IPO listing are two of the most successful trans -formations at Groww, to which Pradeep has contributed substantially. His leadership has been a vital contributor to the long-term vision and development of Groww as it empowers millions of Indians by building a transparent, customer-focused, and multi-product financial platform.

What strategies have you adopted to improve the accuracy and reliability of forecasts in a rapidly changing economic environment?

In my role as Financial Controller, I focus on creating a culture of account ability and agility rather than just implementing processes. I believe strong governance frameworks and cross-functional collaboration are key to driving results. By leveraging technology-driven insights — such as automated, cloud-based systems — I ensure compliance while enabling strategic foresight. My priority is empowering teams to make quick, informed decisions in dynamic environments. Continuous monitoring of financial indicators and proactive variance analysis allow us to anticipate challenges and seize opportunities, positioning the organization for sustainable growth.

How is digital transformation shaping finance, and which technologies have improved efficiency the most?

Digital transformation is revolutionizing finance by enabling real-time decisions, improving reporting accuracy, and strengthening compliance and risk management. Cloud-based ERP systems and advanced analytics play a critical role in this shift, driving efficiency and precision across financial operations.

I have implemented solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle EBS, and SAP S/4HANA — enhancing financial controls, accelerating reporting cycles, and improving operational effectiveness. These technologies not only optimize current processes but also lay the foundation for scalable, data-driven growth.

What guidelines or methodologies do you follow to lead your team effectively?

I follow a transformational leadership approach, and I believe in leading through inspiration and clarity. My approach is to set a clear vision and align short term, medium-term, and long-term goals so the team understands the bigger picture. I encourage open dialogue and collaborative decision-making, which helps develop strong analytical and strategic thinking within the team. Mentoring is also a priority for me—I enjoy guiding junior colleagues to accelerate their growth and help them achieve impactful results early in their careers.

How do you keep yourself up-to-date with on-going industry trends to steer your organization towards the future?

As a finance leader, I prioritize foresight and adaptability in navigating a highly regulated environment. I actively engage with industry thought leaders, regulatory forums, and expert publications to anticipate emerging trends and legislative changes. Rather than simply reacting, I lead by translating these insights into actionable strategies that strengthen compliance and mitigate risk. My approach empowers teams to implement practical solutions swiftly, ensuring the organization remains resilient and positioned for long-term success in an evolving regulatory landscape.

What plans do you have for your future growth journey, and which opportunities do you intend to capitalize on to achieve your goals?

I aspire to step into a Head of Finance or CFO role, where I can shape financial strategy and accelerate organizational growth through innovation and foresight. Over the past year as Group Finance Controller at Groww, I successfully led the company through its IPO journey—guiding it from preparation to public listing. This milestone reflects my ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and deliver transformative outcomes. Building on this experience, I aim to drive bold, future-ready strategies that create sustainable value and position organizations for long term success.
