A born leader who dreamed of entrepreneur ship as early as his childhood, Sudeep has been an instrumental aspect of navigating Microntech through the digital age, taking it to the level next and creating its own niche in the industry. Today, Microntech has presence in 11 cities in India and boasts a strong portfolio comprising close to 5000 products ranging from Dynamic Transducers, Servo Nutrunners to Wireless Torquing Solutions, while keeping intact its core ideology of serving customers with simple products that fit perfectly into their requirements and add value to them. A people person, Sudeep is an excellent leader who is always approachable for his team and constantly strives to help them joyfully reach their potential. We recently got an opportunity to interview him and he was happy to walk us through not only the latest as well as the future endeavors of Microntech, but also his professional journey and personal life. Below are the highlights of our exclusive interview by CEO Insight team with Sudeep.
What inspired you to venture into entrepreneurship, especially into the manufacturing industry? Also,
as a leader with an enormous amount of experience, what drives you today?
I always wanted to be an Entrepreneur. As a kid, I was always fascinated by how companies used diverse marketing strategies to market and sell their products. So, after completing my Engineering, I went on to complete my MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Massachusetts, US and worked in different Marketing Profiles at various companies.
My interest developed in Manufacturing in 2014, when Microntech ventured into manufacturing machines. After observing how we were able to help our customers in the auto and white goods sector boost their production with our machines, I became very much interested in taking it to the next level. We partnered with many premium channel partners in Japan, Germany, US, Taiwan and France, and made our product offering very unique.
Today we get the greatest satisfaction when our solutions improve the safety rating and manufacturing efficiency of our customers. This is what motivates us to keep on innovating.
How would you define microntech engineers as an organization? What is the unique proposition that your organization offers to its client base?
Microntech is an assembly solution provider a leading manufacturer, exporter and dealer of a wide range of assembling tools and accessories with the expertise to set up complete automated assembly lines. Its goal is to ‘Become the Most Reliable Assembly Solution Provider in the Indian Subcontinent’, using the most up to date technology for designing solutions, manufacturing with sustainability in mind, and adhering to the highest ethical business standards. We have brought many innovative products to the market and have made a new market for ourselves. Our solutions have replaced conventional technologies of assembly with more sustainable and efficient ways.
What makes Microntech truly unique is also our robust expertise and experience to offer solutions to the most critical of applications.We always use the requirements of the application as the driving factor of the solutions that we provide. How has been your response to the challenges posed by the covid affected market and the need for new operational strategies, especially of an emphasis on manu

COVID crisis has pushed the digitization of customer interaction, supply chain management and internal operations by four to five years. We at Microntech, were very quick to adopt new practices in serving our customers using more automated processes at this time. Be it design approvals, spec adjustment or result tracking, everything is digitized and automated to support customers across the country. There has been an impact on our pricing due to an increase in commodity pricing like steel, aluminum and copper. But we have tried our best to reduce the overall impact on our customers by automating and digitizing our processes.
In your professional journey so far, which are the milestones that bestowed you with utmost satisfaction both as an individual and as an industry leader?
Advancing from supplying just assembly machines to setting up complete production lines for some of the most prestigious manufacturers in the country is what we are proudest about. Microntech is trusted by the manufacturers like Toyota, Suzuki, Hyundai, and Samsung to handle their most critical safety applications with our unique and reliable assembly solutions. Needless to say it’s quite a satisfying experience.
Going forward, what are the changes in market behavior that you anticipate and what are the opportunities that you foresee? In accordance with that, what are your future plans?
There will be continuous investments from Foreign Manufacturers in India in the coming years. In particular, manufacturing of electric vehicles will increase, creating demand for special machines catering to electric vehicle assembly. Microntech is already developing products to meet this requirement and also expanding its reach by adding more offices and distributors to better serve its customers. We are very positive and confident about the bright future of the Indian Manufacturing industry as the economy recovers from the pandemic. I am sure Microntech will play a vital role in that brighter future by delivering on its promise of more sustainable and innovative assembly solutions.
