He embodies the belief that real transformation happens when innovation is guided by empathy and executed with discipline , a mindset deeply aligned with MIT’s mission and impact. Let’s dive in to know more.

What are the valuable lessons you acquired from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology?

My time at MIT Sloan was transformative both professionally and intellectually. The most lasting lesson was learning to think systemically, navigating complexity with clarity and applying structured frameworks to solve ambiguous challenges. The Sloan Fellows Program immersed me in an inter- disciplinary environment, blending academic rigor with realworld relevance.

I was energized by the diverse perspectives of scientists, entrepreneurs, and global leaders, which sharpened my strategic thinking and deepened my intellectual humility. MIT’s culture of boundless curiosity, data-driven decision-making, and collaborative innovation became foundational to my leadership style. These principles continue to guide me in driving
transformation and architecting digital solutions across industries.

What are the skills you acquired in and out of the classroom that you find beneficial in your current role?

My learning at MIT was grounded in disciplines like system dynamics, platform economics, AI strategy, and digital innovation, which continue to shape my leadership approach. These frameworks have helped me design scalable solutions and drive enterprise-wide trans- formation. The analytical rigor from these courses has equipped me to navigate ambiguity and make highstakes decisions with precision. Beyond academics, collaborating with peers from over 40 countries taught me the value of cross-cultural dynamics and divergent thinking. I developed human-centered skills in communication, agility, and alignment, which are crucial in leading global initiatives, mentoring teams, and fostering innovation-driven cultures.

Creating A Psycho - logically Safe Envi - ronment where Mistakes Are Seen As Learning Opportunities Is Key

Can you share how faculty engagement influenced your experience at MIT?

During my time at MIT Sloan, one of the most impactful aspects was the faculty’s genuine accessibility and engagement. They weren’t just instructors, they were active collaborators. I had meaningful conver -sations with professors like Simon Johnson on digital platforms, Deborah Ancona on leadership, Duncan Simester on marketing, and Roberto Rigobon on applied economics. These discussions often went beyond the classroom, blending theory with real-world relevance. What stood out most was how faculty encouraged us to challenge assumptions, think systemically, and approach problems with intellectual rigor. This culture of openness continues to shape how I lead and build teams today.

What is one unforgettable memory from your time at the institute?

It’s hard to pick just one standout memory from my time at MIT, as the entire experience was intellectually and emotionally transformative. One vivid moment was when we worked on a sustain-ability challenge for a multinational company. Colla - borating with fellows from over 30 countries, I saw MIT’s spirit of focused thought, bold collaboration, and constructive disagreement. It wasn’t just about solving the problem, it was about how we solved it together as global leaders.

Another unforgettable experience was conducting field research in Botswana on the Kimberley Process, aimed at eliminating conflict diamonds. This taught me the importance of turning global agreements into local actions. We also developed a non-invasive fibrosis detection model using AI, which highlighted the ethical considerations in digital health. Lastly, creating a snow accumulation and traffic
forecasting model for Boston emphasized the value of systems thinking in smart city solutions Each of these moments reinforced MIT’s core ethos, which says innovation must serve humanity solutions.

How do you approach leadership and ensure your team grows in their capabilities?

I lead by empowering my team to take ownership and build autonomy. I start by ensuring everyone understands the purpose and desired outcomes, aligning them with the larger vision. Once aligned, I step back, allowing them the space to experiment and take responsibility for the results. I replace micromanagement with mentorship, offering feedback and guidance. Stretch assign- ments and cross-functional exposure help expand their skill sets. Creating a psychologically safe environment where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities is key. This approach has helped me build high-performing teams that evolve into leaders themselves.

What are the future goals you are most excited to achieve moving forward?

Looking ahead, my aspirations lie at the intersection of innovation, impact, and societal good. I aim to continue working at the forefront of AI, data, and emerging technologies, not just for efficiency but to tackle complex challenges. I'm also passionate about mentoring future digital and transformation leaders, paying forward the guidance I've received. Long term, I plan to engage in public-private partnerships, contri - buting to global initiatives at the intersection of technology, policy, and equity. My goal is to create "net-positive systems" that deliver economic, social, and environmental value. Ultimately, I want my legacy to be one of constructive disruption, driving inclusive, human-centered, and transformational change.
