Takayuki Ueda hails from Japan and has acquired extensive knowledge by earning various degrees and having decades of working experience. Having completed his Law from Rikkyo University and MBA from Bond University, Australia, he started his career with Tokyo Marine and Fire Insurance Co., and later joined Toyota as a Dealership Agent in 1993. In 1996, he moved to the Automobile Industry Production department of the same company and supported Tokyo Toyopet Co. After working for decades, he was promoted as the Managing Director & CEO of the Toyota Tsusho Insurance Broker India in the year 2021. Since then, he has brought laurels for his organization with his expertise in the Insurance industry.

Having decades of working experience, how has your path to success and what is your success mantra?
I always believed that a team must
have a common goal and that is how I realized it is all for one and one for all to make a good company. I also think that without putting in your blood and sweat you cannot achieve anything because there is no rainbow without the rain. My success mantra is that I always look forward and never think of giving up until I get success. Also, I aim to do better today than yesterday to make mine and my organization’s tomorrow better.

How would you define Toyota Tsusho Insurance as an organization and its current position in the market?
Toyota Tsusho Insurance Broker India (TTIBI), was established in 2008, and is now a leading Insurance Broker across India. We at TTIBI understand that customer satisfaction is the essence of a successful organization driven by an experienced team of professionals who cater to the Insurance needs of corporates with tailor-made Insurance products & services. We are committed to rendering our expertise in terms of prompt and value-added services to our clients at optimized costs, on time at every instant.

TTIBI is the only Indo-Japanese Insurance Broker in the country, licensed by IRDAI to facilitate Insurance Programs in Life, Non-Life, and Reinsurance segments, and it is promoted by Vikram Geet Investments and Holdings of Kirloskar Group & Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Japan. TTIBI commenced its operations from Bangalore with branch offices in Delhi, Chennai Pune, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Indore, and has a presence in 30+ cities.

What are the future market opportunities that you look forward to investing your time to reach your goals?
We are looking at promoting better synergy between our teams and vertical business models to face the various challenges which we may face in this ever dynamic industry. We would like to create awareness among all our clients on the newer risks that the corporate world would face and keep them informed of the best solutions available.

In light of your strong experience within the industry, what advice would you give to budding industry leaders?
My advice for all the budding leaders in this industry is that continuous learning and being aware of newer concepts in this ever-developing Insurance Industry would only help them face challenges and emerge successful.
