As the Director of the organisation, Chavan holds the power of innovation at the core of TCTPPL in order to provide the consumers with customized solutions. He envisioned to create a firm that goes beyond just mundane mechanism of building structures of cement and steel and came up with holistic turnkey solutions from designing to commissioning.
The PAN India Company specialises in providing construction and engineering solutions for industrial, commercial and institutional structures. The CEO Insights magazine engaged in a conversation with Tanaji Chavan to know more about his role in the organization and the leadership journey he has been striding on.
Could you give a brief account of your professional background and experiences?
I entered in the construction space and it has been a period of more
than thirty years now, since 1992. In this prolonged course of time my career spanned several aspects of infrastructure that include industrial and residential, land development sector. The profound knowledge that I garnered after wards has motivated me to embark on this entrepreneurial journey where I endeavour to make a positive impact on the society and the environment with my organization. We started this venture as Creative Associates in 2010 and later transformed it into TCTPPL in 2020. Our team of proficient engineers and adherence to latest technologies empower us to enable innovative solutions for the customers.
What is the motivation that fuels your daily routines?
Being a dreamer in engineers cloak has given me the purpose to continue with designing turkey solutions. With a strong vision and business model in place, I have been able to mobilise my firm so far. Hence, if I am to be asked about my daily motivation it would be about chalking out a viable vision and the consistent effort to actualize it.
You possess over three decades of experience. How has been your path to success and what is your success mantra?
The construction industry has undergone evolutionary changes keeping the pace with shifting consumer needs and technical modernisations. There have been various constraints in the beginning as well. Yet we got through the difficulties with our capability of adapting to the fluctuating market conditions. The flexibility that our workforce showcases in terms of acclimatising to latest technological and industrial practices or any sudden changes in a project is a foundational base of our success. Furthermore, we prioritise the client’s needs and deliver our solutions according to those. We pay close attention to quality and safety in the worksite as well. These factors have been considered critical for this successful journey.

buildings, PEB and MEP projects. Our team of young engineers is backed by experienced senior professionals making up the core strength of the organization. Our commitment to quality, safety and sustainable solutions has established us as one of the leading construction firms and help us foster longstanding relationship with the clients. We follow a holistic approach in order to undertake a project from designing to execution through the single-window convenience. Many of the clients have entrusted us with multiple projects for the quality service that we offer. The state-of-art machineries and the team of resourceful employees for tasks like planning, designing, engineering and project management enable us to take up projects of any size.
What are the major projects that you have undertaken till now? How did you overcome the challenges associated with them and what did you learn from them?
BTIS Pilani(Goa), Phoenix Mecano (Pune), KPIT Technologies (Pune), FLAME University (Pune) and Walmart at Tirupati are the few among our prestigious projects. We have worked with several MNCs across the nation. There have been no operational challenges as such as our agility and adaptability to ever changing infrastructure scenario has always made us stay ahead of the curve.
Going forward, what are the changes in market behaviour that you anticipate and what are the opportunities that you foresee?
Challenges created by labour shortage will continue to affect the market though we have exquisite capacity and resourcefulness in terms of workforce along with advanced machineries to battle the foregoing short coming in the future. On the brighter side, lower prices of hardware and software and further technical upgradation will influence the growth trajectory of the construction market in the coming years.
