CEO Insights engaged in a one-on-one interaction with Vasu Bonda. Let’s hear from him.
What inspired you to establish Terra Nova Technologies as a climate-tech plat form integrating AI, blockchain, and environmental intelligence?
I founded Terra Nova Technologies after recognising a major global challenge: climate action lacked reliable and scalable systems to measure real environmental impact, especially for farmers and local communities who are central to sustainability efforts.
Working across the UK, India, and Africa showed me that technology should empower people rather than replace them.
I wanted to create a platform where AI, blockchain, and geospatial intelligence could work together to make climate data transparent, verifiable, and accessible for everyone, from investors to grassroots stakeholders. My vision has always been to build systems rooted in trust, account -ability, and inclusivity.
At Terra Nova, we focus on creating practical, human-centred climate solutions that not only support environmental goals but also strengthen community parti -cipation and long-term sustainability. For me, leadership is about enabling others to create measurable impact through inno -vation and collaboration.
How do you believe blockchain technology can transform transparency and trust in climate and carbon management systems?
I believe blockchain has the power to fundamentally strengthen trust in climate and carbon ecosystems. One of the biggest challenges in global climate finance is ensuring that environmental claims and carbon credits are credible, traceable, and tamper-proof. Blockchain creates an immutable and time stamped record of every activity, from field-level data collection to carbon credit issuance and retirement.
This eliminates ambiguity, reduces the risk of manipulation, and ensures transparency for all stake holders involved. At Terra Nova Technologies, we use blockchain not simply as a technology tool but as a governance framework that enhances accountability and authenticity across climate data and financial flows. When transparency becomes embedded into the system itself, organi -sations and investors can make decisions with greater confidence. I believe trusted digital infrastructure is essential for scaling climate finance and accelerating meaningful global climate action.
How is Terra Nova Technologies helping organi- sations achieve measurable ESG and netzero outcomes?
At Terra Nova Technologies, we help organisations move beyond sustainability promises and focus on measurable climate outcomes. Many businesses today are committed to ESG and netzero goals, but they often struggle with reliable monitoring, reporting, and verification systems. Our platform addresses this challenge through AI-driven geospatial analytics, automated MRV systems and blockchain-enabled trace ability.
These technologies allow organisations to track environmental impact accurately and align their sustainability efforts with global ESG and netzero frameworks. My focus has always been on creating practical solutions that work effectively on the ground rather than adding more complexity.
We also ensure that sustainability investments connect directly with local communities and real-world environmental improvements. By combining transparency, science-based measurement, and digital innovation, we help organisations build climate strategies that are accountable, scalable, and future-ready while creating meaningful long-term environmental impact.
Which leadership values have shaped your entrepreneurial journey across international markets such as the UK, India and Africa?

Which leadership values have shaped your entrepreneurial journey across international markets such as the UK, India and Africa?
Working across diverse regions like India, the UK, and Africa has shaped my leadership philosophy in many ways. I have learned that effective leadership requires not only innovation and
technical expertise but also empathy, adaptability and cultural understanding. Every region has its own challenges, priorities, and social dynamics, and building successful climate solutions means respecting those local realities.
Inclusive collaboration has been central to my journey because meaningful impact can only happen when communities, organisations, and technology work together. Integrity has also been one of my strongest guiding principles, especially while operating in global climate and carbon markets where transparency and scientific credibility are essential.
These experiences reinforced my belief that global challenges demand global partnerships. As an Indian technology entrepreneur building in the UK, I remain committed to uniting technology, purpose, and people to create sustainable solutions with measurable impact across international markets.
What message would you like to share with aspiring Indian entrepreneurs aiming to build globally impactful sustainability ventures?
Being recognised among the “Elite Indian Leaders in the UK 2026” has reinforced my belief that global impact begins with strong values, purpose, and long-term vision. My message to aspiring Indian entrepreneurs is simple: the world is ready for bold ideas that combine innovation with responsibility.
India gives us resilience, creativity, and the ability to solve complex challenges with limited resources, which is a powerful entrepreneurial advantage.
When these strengths are combined with global standards, integrity, and a commitment to sustainable innovation, Indian entrepreneurs can build ventures that influence industries worldwide. I encourage young founders to think beyond borders while staying connected to their roots and values.
Sustainability is not just a business opportunity; it is a responsibility toward future generations. Build solutions that create measurable impact, empower communities, and contribute to a more transparent, inclusive, and sustainable future for the world.
