Anduril Industries to Acquire Klas

According to reports, AI-powered defense startup Anduril Industries has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Ireland-based tactical communications systems maker Klas.
Anduril, together with software developer Palantir and Elon Musk's SpaceX, has surfaced as a leading contender to secure an essential segment of President Donald Trump's "Golden Dome" missile defense system, Reuters noted last month, referencing sources knowledgeable about the situation.
The agreement, the specifics of which were not revealed, and requires regulatory approvals, seeks to enhance the defense technology company's autonomous warfare systems using Klas's hardware.
Klas produces compact computers and internet devices that allow soldiers to communicate and operate drones in areas without electricity and cellphone reception.
Anduril, supported by major venture capital firms, will incorporate Klas' hardware into its AI-driven software platform Lattice, the "central brain" of its AI-driven autonomous systems.
Lattice integrates information from diverse sensors of unmanned systems to deliver an up-to-date battlefield snapshot, enhancing cooperation between machines and humans.
Klas, employing 150 people, is anticipated to keep functioning from its locations in Ireland and the U.S. under the agreement, with intentions to boost manufacturing capacity to satisfy growing demand.
This signifies the ninth agreement by Anduril since its founding in 2017.
