AmMetLife Insurance Appoints Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail as CEO

AmMetLife Insurance Bhd has named Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail as its new CEO, taking over from Rangam Bir, who has departed the company for new ventures.

Wan possesses almost 30 years of expertise in insurance and takaful, encompassing positions as a regulator, actuary, and senior executive within various organizations.

He has also acted as chairman of the Malaysian Takaful Association, underscoring his engaged leadership in the industry.

"Wan offers a powerful blend of actuarial knowledge, extensive industry experience, and commercial leadership to AmMetLife, during a period of rapid evolution in protection and health needs in Malaysia," stated Elena Butarova, MetLife’s Regional Head for Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, and Vietnam.

She stated, “We are certain he will guide the company with clarity and intent in its upcoming phase.”

Regarding his appointment, Wan stated, "At this time, Malaysians are eager to create a more assured future." I'm thrilled to lead AmMetLife as we keep delivering the advantages of insurance, health coverage, and solid financial planning to millions of people in Malaysia.
