Asheame Mehta Joins Encalm Hospitality as Head of Purchase
Encalm Hospitality has appointed Asheame Mehta as Head of Purchase, capitalizing on his 25 years of expertise in procurement, imports, and inventory management to drive growth and operational excellence. In his new role, Mehta will lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement practices at Encalm, focusing on efficiency and quality in sourcing, project management, and inventory control. His leadership will strengthen Encalm’s procurement framework, aligning with the company’s goal to provide exceptional hospitality experiences.
Mehta joined Encalm Hospitality following a distinguished tenure with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where he held pivotal procurement roles across corporate and hotel operations in prime locations, including Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru. He played a pivotal role in the opening of ten Oberoi hotels, including the brand’s iconic Vilas properties, through his work at the Central Purchase Team.
Mehta’s career began at Tata Oil Mills Company Ltd (TOMCO) as a trainee, before moving on to a key role at Bharat Leather Corporation, a Government of India enterprise, where he focused on the export and import of leather products. Renowned for his strategic approach, Mehta brings a wealth of experience in sourcing, project procurement, contracting, inventory management, and team development. His extensive background positions him as a valuable asset to Encalm, supporting the company’s vision of innovation and efficiency in procurement.

Mehta has been recognized with the Best Procurement Manager award by Hotelier India. He is also one of the founding members and General Secretary of the Purchasing Professional Forum – India, a network that fosters growth and development within India’s procurement community, bringing together over 300 members from North India.
