CG Hospitality, Marriott International Enhance Long-Term Partnership

Marriott International and CG Hospitality Global have strengthened their strategic alliance by formalizing three significant hospitality projects in Nepal and India.
The deal entails the addition of The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu and The Westin Kathmandu, as well as the signing of JW Marriott Siliguri in eastern India.
Anticipated to launch by 2031, the two Kathmandu developments will together contribute around 300 keys to Marriott’s portfolio in Nepal, signifying the introduction of The Ritz-Carlton brand in the nation and enhancing Marriott’s luxury and premium positioning in the market.
The recent signings highlight the partners' ongoing commitment to enhancing premium hospitality options throughout South Asia while capitalizing on the rising interest in luxury travel and experience-driven destinations.
The initiatives in Nepal will be carried out via a collaboration between CG Hospitality Global, the hospitality division of Chaudhary Group, and prominent Nepali businesses such as IEG Group, IJ Group, and Sharma & Company.
The contracts were executed in the presence of high-ranking officials from both companies, such as David Marriott, Chairman of the Board for Marriott International; Binod Chaudhary, Chairman of CG Corp Global; Rahul Chaudhary, CEO and Managing Director of CG Hospitality Global; and Rajeev Menon, President for Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International.
The agreements represent another achievement in the partnership between Marriott and CG Hospitality, which already features successful projects like Kathmandu Marriott Hotel and multiple Marriott-branded establishments throughout South Asia.
The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu, representing the luxury brand’s first presence in Nepal, will be situated in Thamel and will offer 150 rooms and suites, five dining options, a spa, an outdoor pool, and over 1,100 square meters of meeting and event facilities.
The Westin Kathmandu, situated close to Tribhuvan International Airport, will provide 150 rooms and suites, wellness-oriented amenities, three dining options, a rooftop pool, and more than 700 square meters of event space.
