Chandan Mukherji Exits Nestlé After 21 Years

Chandan Mukherji has recently departed from Nestlé, where he dedicated more than 20 years to serving in executive positions both in India and various international markets. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Mukherji wrote: “After 21 incredible years at Nestlé, it’s time to close the chapter and move on”.

Chandan expressed gratitude towards the exceptional individuals he collaborated with throughout his career. He acknowledges the valuable experience gained from working at Nestlé India and Nestlé S.A. on an international scale, contributing to a diverse portfolio of renowned brands spanning various categories.

During his tenure as the Global Head of Consumer & Marketplace Insights, he had the privilege of visiting more than 35 countries across the globe. This experience allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of diverse environments and circumstances, enabling him to effectively address various business challenges and inquiries. His role also involved fostering a consumer-centric mindset, implementing impactful metrics, and utilizing advanced analytics, among other responsibilities.

In his role as Director of Strategy, Marketing, and Communication at Nestlé India, Chandan expresses a profound satisfaction in leveraging his deep understanding to create tangible brand value for the consumers they cater to. These brands, integral to the daily lives of millions, have entrusted him with their stewardship, a responsibility that he finds both humbling and invigorating.

It has been a profoundly rewarding experience, and Chandan expresses his intention to hold dear the cherished memories made at Nestlé throughout his lifetime.

Chandan held the position of senior vice president and director overseeing strategy, marketing, and communication at Nestlé India in his most recent role. Additionally, he was an esteemed member of the Nestlé South Asia Management Committee. He previously served as the global head of consumer and marketplace insights at Nestlé S.A. in Switzerland, overseeing operations in over 35 countries.

During his tenure at Nestlé, he held various key positions in strategy, innovation, business development, and consumer insights in the Indian market. Before starting his employment at Nestlé, Chandan held positions in brand management and consumer insights at Unilever, and began his professional journey at Kantar IMRB.
