Aditya Bagree has been named head of markets for Citi India and the South Asia cluster, which includes Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Bagree succeeds Badrinivas NC, who was recently appointed as Citi's Asia Pacific head of markets treasury.

Bagree will report to Ashu Khullar, Citi India CEO and South Asia region head, and Julia Raiskin, Citi Asia Pacific head of markets. He is responsible for developing and implementing regional product delivery strategies for India and the South Asia cluster, as well as leading senior regulatory and client relationships in the region and establishing a strong risk management discipline and culture. He is now a member of both the Citi Leadership Team for India and the Asia Pacific markets operating committee. Bagree has also taken over as country treasurer from Badri in the interim period.

Bagree has held a number of important senior leadership positions since joining Citi India in 2011, the bank said, most recently as the head of Asia local corporate credit trading and global spread products in India.

Meanwhile, Badri is responsible for overseeing the management of markets treasury activity across Asia Pacific within permissible regulatory and internal frameworks and risk tolerances across the region's legal vehicles in his new role as Citi's Asia Pacific head of markets treasury.

"Badri has 25 years of banking experience spanning a variety of products (assets and liabilities) and functions" (operations, product, marketing, sales and treasury). "Badri will relocate to Singapore," the bank announced.
