Citroen partners with BluSmart for 4,000 EV SUVs in India

FrenchFrench carmaker Citroen has teamed up with Indian electric vehicle (EV) firm BluSmart Mobility to enhance the latter's electric fleet in India. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), guarantees the delivery of 4,000 units of Citroen's all-electric compact SUV, the e-C3, within 12 months.

In the initial phase, 125 units of the Citroen e-C3 were introduced at BluSmart's EV charging superhub in Bengaluru. This strategic move aims to augment BluSmart's existing fleet of over 7,000 EVs, emphasizing both companies' commitment to fostering sustainability in electric mobility.

Shishir Mishra, Brand Director at Citroen India, expressed that the partnership reflects a mutual vision for a cleaner transportation ecosystem. The Citroen e-C3 offers an impressive range of 320 kilometers and incorporates fast-charging technology capable of attaining a full charge in less than an hour.

Anmol Jaggi, Co-founder and CEO of BluSmart, highlighted the shared objectives between the two companies in striving for net-zero mobility. BluSmart, renowned for its expansive EV charging infrastructure, operates 4,400 EV chargers across 36 superhubs covering over 1.5 million square feet in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.

The collaboration between Citroen and BluSmart underscores the increasing emphasis on electric mobility solutions in India, signaling a transition towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation alternatives. Through
