Crisil Appoints Ramkumar Uppara as Director of PR and Communications
Crisil has appointed Ramkumar Uppara as Director of PR and Communications. In this position, he will spearhead the company’s external and internal communications strategy both in India and globally, with a focus on markets like the US and the UK. Before this, Ramkumar was Senior Vice President at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, where he played a pivotal role in positioning the brand as one of India’s top mass-market banks among SFBs.
Uppara has more than twenty years of experience in public relations and corporate communications. He has succeeded in crisis management, media relations, strategic leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
Ramkumar has held several leadership roles, including at Ketchum Sampark (Omnicom Group) and as a Senior Manager at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for driving impactful communication strategies and fostering significant business growth. With extensive experience in the communication and marketing sectors, he holds degrees in public relations and advertising and a Master of Marketing Management (MMM) from the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, further enhancing his expertise in strategic business development and communication.
