Cummins India on boards Annapurna Vishwanathan as its new CIO Pune Headquartered, Cummins India on boards Annapurna Vishwanathan as its new CIO. She has moved on from Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCB), where she has served a stint of over two years as Head-Digital.

Cummins India is one of the leading Fortune 500 companies operating in the design and manufacturing business of engines and all other components. Cummins is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products. Other business segments include services engines and related equipment, fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission control, electrical power generation systems, and more.

In the new role, Annapurna will be accountable for IT and technologies which are supporting the business operations and other important functions.She has over 15 years of experience in managing technology, software development, and digital transformation. Prior to joining Cummins India, she was heading the digital function as HCCB India.

Annapurna spent over 10 years at GE where she was also inducted as a part of the senior leadership team of GE's digital business in India and had worked towards setting up the Digital hub. The most exciting part of her role at GE was to work with global IT leaders to discover insourcing opportunities and setting up these capabilities in the India digital hub. She has had varied experience working across the globe on key GE priorities like IT security, establishing cash controls, acquisition integrations, implementing oracle sourcing platforms, etc.

She was 6 Sigma certified and has completed her education from IIT Delhi. As an industry leader, Annapurna is extremely passionate about discovering new age technologies, digital capabilities and is also very passionate towards mentoring young talent.
