Deepak Agarwal Appointed Chief AI Officer at LinkedIn
Deepak Agarwal has been appointed as LinkedIn's Chief AI Officer, a move he shared on his LinkedIn profile.
“I am thrilled to share that I’m joining LinkedIn as the company’s Chief AI Officer. This is my second stint leading AI at LinkedIn, with my last tour being VP of AI for 8 years where our team developed remarkable innovations at massive scale that serve as the foundation for much of the company’s AI efforts today”, Agarwal wrote.
“LinkedIn has a long and impressive history of using AI to transform the way professionals and businesses connect, learn, and grow. AI is at the heart of everything we do - from personalizing member experiences to help them grow their knowledge and access to opportunity, to empowering businesses, and fostering meaningful professional relationships. My mission as CAIO is to push the boundaries of what’s possible, ensuring our AI innovations are not only cutting-edge and industry-defining but also ethical, inclusive, human-centric and empathetic”, Agarwal added.
This marks Deepak Agarwal's second tenure leading AI at LinkedIn, having previously served as the VP of AI for eight years. During his first term, Deepak played a crucial role in driving AI innovations at scale, which now form the cornerstone of LinkedIn's current AI initiatives, according to a company release.
Before LinkedIn, Deepak was the Chief AI Officer and VP of Consumer and Trust Engineering at Pinterest.
