Evera Cabs to Buy 500 BluSmart EVs, Expand Delhi Airport Services

App-based electric taxi service company Evera Cabs (Prakriti Mobility) announces that it has begun the process of reclaiming 500 electric cabs previously run by the struggling BluSmart. Evera Cabs announced in a statement that 220 vehicles have already been obtained, and the remaining 280 are scheduled to be retrieved in the next few days.
The firm aims to bolster its status as a top electric taxi service provider, emphasizing airport transportation, it stated.
Evera stated that in addition to the fleet integration, "a significant number of BluSmart drivers" are lining up to join, with 10 percent of them being women. Approximately 150 drivers have begun making trips, and recruitment activities are continuing to guarantee service readiness as the fleet expands.
"What we're executing is not just a scale-up, it is a realignment of the electric mobility narrative in India. As key players recalibrate, Evera is stepping forward with clear intent, absorbing proven EV assets and trusted drivers to ensure uninterrupted service across key routes," says Evera Co-Founder and CEO Nimish Trivedi.
Evera stated that its retrieval of BluSmart's taxis via its lenders is a component of a phased strategic initiative to strengthen its presence in the high-demand airport taxi market of NCR.
In the upcoming phase, it is intensifying its airport network expansion, broadening services to include all terminals of Delhi's airport, as the company announced, noting that while it used to function solely from Terminal 3, the addition of new vehicles allows comprehensive terminal coverage.
