Godfrey Phillips India Appoints Siddharth Chawla as New COO
Godfrey Phillips India, a leading player in the tobacco and FMCG sectors, announced the appointment of Siddharth Chawla as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 7, 2025, or another mutually agreed-upon date. The decision follows recommendations from the company's Nomination and Remuneration Committee and is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen its senior leadership.
With nearly 24 years of diverse experience, Chawla has held key management and leadership positions across various industries. He started his career in 2001 as a management trainee at FMCG giant ITC and rose to become the Business Head for North India. He served in this role until 2019, after which he took on the position of Business Head for Non-Essentials at e-commerce unicorn Udaan.
For the last two years, Chawla has been the Chief Growth Officer at Pharmarack Technologies, India's largest e-B2B commerce platform in the pharmaceutical sector.
Chawla’s vast expertise spans developing go-to-market strategies, establishing new business systems and supply chains, and launching new product categories and distribution channels. His leadership in managing large, distributed teams and complex business environments will be crucial for Godfrey Phillips India as he steps into his new role.
