Indian IT leader HCLTech has formed a multi-year collaboration with Astemo Cypremos to create a smart and autonomous automotive ecosystem. Based in Tokyo, Astemo Cypremos is a subsidiary of Astemo Ltd., focusing on software and cloud services.

 As part of this partnership, HCLTech will provide its software testing platform TestSphere, the generative-AI-based service transformation solution AI Force, and cloud engineering tools Cloud Bridge to lessen hardware reliance and expedite the development of self-driving and driver-assist technologies for Astemo.

HCLTech stated that these autonomous and intelligent vehicle solutions will benefit millions of end users across 150 nations. Initial pilot projects have shown a marked decrease in validation cycle times and improvements in return on investment.

"With our integrated platforms and deep domain expertise, we are driving automotive innovation in collaboration with Cypremos, enabling the delivery of safer, smarter and more adaptive vehicles at scale,” said Masayuki Nakayama, senior vice president and country head of Japan at HCLTech.

HCLTech has recently secured a deal to provide engineering services for Volvo Group, a Swedish truck manufacturer. The IT firm will assist Volvo Cars in achieving its future engineering objectives from its Automotive Centre of Excellence located in Gothenburg, along with its global delivery centres both offshore and nearshore.

Additionally, the Indian IT services provider has begun collaborating with OpenAI to facilitate the large-scale integration of AI solutions in enterprises.

The company has also broadened its partnership with Salesforce, a leader in cloud computing, to enhance the enterprise adoption of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) services.

Furthermore, HCLTech has formed a strategic alliance with AMD to expedite digital transformation across enterprises worldwide through innovative solutions in AI, digital technology, and cloud computing.
