
HCLTech Opens New GDC in Hyderabad, Expands Workforce to 10,000

Global tech leader HCLTech has inaugurated its new global delivery centre (GDC) in Hyderabad, covering 3.2 lakh sq ft and capable of housing approximately 5,000 employees. This marks the company's fifth GDC in the city, where it began its operations in 2007 and has since expanded to a workforce of over 10,000.
During the inauguration of the new K Raheja Corp Commerzone campus, Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy highlighted that Telangana and Hyderabad are growing at the fastest pace in the country, with the state attracting the highest level of investment from both domestic and international companies, and leading in job creation.
“Telangana is endowed with the highest artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and the lowest inflation”, the CM said.

Reiterating his commitment to make Telangana a $1 trillion GDP economy over the next decade, the CM also lashed out at detractors, who differed with his resolve and said it was not possible. “After signing MoUs worth Rs 41,000 crore and Rs 1.78 lakh crore during two Davos trips, they realized that my aim is noteworthy. No one can stop Telangana Rising”.
“When I said that our competition for Hyderabad is not with Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru or Chennai, some said it would be a big dream. Today, we have made Hyderabad number one in EV adoption. We are transforming our state into a hub for data centres, green energy, life sciences, biotechnology, skill development, manufacturing and agri processing”, Reddy said.
IT & industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said Telangana is rapidly transforming into a trillion-dollar economy, driven by innovation, a skilled workforce, and a strong business-friendly environment.
“Over the past decades, our state has become one of India's fastest-growing technology hubs, attracting global leaders in AI, cloud, and digital transformation. We are investing $15 billion under the Telangana 2.0 Growth Vision to accelerate this growth, strengthening infrastructure, skilling, and innovation. Hyderabad remains a top choice for global companies, and HCLTech’s decision to expand its global delivery footprint here further reinforces our position as a leading tech destination. This new center will drive cutting-edge advancements from Telangana to the world", he said.
