Honeywell Introduced Impact for India's Mid-Income Consumers

Honeywell has introduced Impact by Honeywell, a brand that has been exclusively developed for the mid-segment in India. As a part of the launch, Honeywell has introduced various products that have been developed locally to curb the challenges faced by the mid-segment customers in terms of productivity, revenue leakage, cost efficiency as well as compliance.

Middle-segment households in India are expected to almost double by 2030, by providing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with an opportunity to address their escalating demands. According to Akshay, Honeywell has the potential for adoption of automation, digitalisation, and smart products and solutions by SME or mid-segment customers. Impact by Honeywell’s portfolio has a wide range of cost-effective, simple yet connected solutions that go into buildings and focus on energy management, fire safety, security and surveillance, and workforce management.

Commenting on one such product, the Universal AC Controller, Jasmeet Bhatia, who heads the buildings technologies line of business for Impact by Honeywell, says, “This simple yet powerful device saves up to 30 per cent of AC energy bills by reducing wastage and unwanted usage of air conditioners. This battery-operated device works with most AC models, old or new and is a must have product for commercial and residential buildings.”

Impact by Honeywell has also brought in products and solutions that aid in catering to healthcare, supply chain verticals and eCommerce. These include warehouse automation, digital safety and productivity solutions, and asset health monitoring – the last among these was developed in response to Covid-19, but has wider applications for the pharma industry. The BluTag 360 is a digital tracking and shipment condition monitoring solution for vaccines and drugs.
