Ikea introduces new Shopping App to advance Online Presence in India

Recently, Swedish retailer Ikea launched a mobile shopping app in India to enlarge its customer base. The company’s decision to commence the mobile shopping app is committed to mounting its business in India.

The app has also been introduced by the company after the second wave of Covid-19 belated plans to build huge stores in parts of the country. The app will help the company develop its online occurrence in India. With the introduction of the app, customers from many cities will be capable to order Ikea products online.

The delivery services will be primarily valid in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Surat, said the company. The services will be later expanded to cities like Delhi and Bengaluru.

Kavitha Rao, Ikea India country commercial manager, states, “It is important to note that Indian consumers are app-oriented. The launch of the online app will lead to a sharp rise in demand for Ikea’s product offerings.”

The Ikea shopping app will be accessible on both Android and iOS platforms, and it will tender more than 7,000 products at viable prices. The low price feature could assist the company’s online sales to grow quickly.
