India Becoming Atmanirbhar...How China Turf Aided us

India's ban on nearly 59 Chinese mobile apps and other countries prohibiting products manufactured in China and its apps has open a wider market space of the Indian startups globally. As an initiative measure, Our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Indian startups to participate in the "Atmanirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge" and he believes that the opportunity would create an Atmanirbhar App Ecosystem.

Across the globe, it is China that possesses maximum manpower and also they work for lesser compensation as compared to other countries. This is the biggest strength of China to attract businesses across the globe. But, in the present scenario, every Chinese product and app being forbidden makes way for India which is the second-highest manpower country that could easily fill the void left behind by China in the global market.

The ban laid in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic has increased the scope for Indian startups to launch more swadeshi products and to develop apps that is similar to the banned Chinese applications. Thus, the usage of the 'Made in India' products and apps would increase significantly which in turn would bring in a remarkable inflate in the country's economy.

Making India Self-Reliant
The Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan is providing a platform for India to become self-reliant and make it more competitive in the global market. Alongside, this measure would pave the way for local manufacturers, supply chains, and other services to wider reach in the market and raise their standards globally. Furthermore, the Indian startups can produce quality products at affordable prices within a short period of time as the country possesses strong manpower, this would gain the attention of the customers worldwide.

Scope in Digital Platform
On the digital front, this ban is proving to be the silver lining, as it has brought in a golden opportunity to the Indian app developers and budding entrepreneurs to showcase their talents across the globe. Also, providing world-class products or services would attract a huge number of customers worldwide making India a prime solution in the global market. Apart from tech startups, there are various other sectors such as fintech, logistics, supply chain, healthcare, and many more which would aid in grabbing many opportunities.

Investors' Benefits
As the ban brings in various opportunities for the country, there are also certain ill effects that would impact the Indian startup ecosystem. Since many startups are heavily invested by the Chinese companies running the business with the investment is quite impossible. Also, this would dramatically impact the business relations that were developed between the Indian organizations and its Chinese investors. In some worst-case scenarios, the funding could be put on hold and even the agreements could be canceled. Without proper cash flow any organization especially the startups would lose the potential to proceed with its work. This is when the local investor can utilize the opportunity to invest in the Indian startups and support the country in becoming Atmanirbhar as well as grow with the country's progress.

India trying to become self-reliant and all the opportunity falling in place for the country's startup to utilize it is certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thus, Indian startups and investors could understand the scenario and use this golden opportunity to elevate the country in the global market and enhance their business as well.
