India's First Net-Zero Business Park in Chennai Earns IGBC Certification

Morphogenesis is thrilled to announce a significant milestone with the completion of the International Tech Park Chennai, Radial Road (ITPC-Radial Road), developed for CapitaLand Investment (CLI). This achievement marks a historic moment as the first business park in India to attain certification as net-zero by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). This prestigious acknowledgment highlights the park's steadfast dedication to energy efficiency, water preservation, and waste handling.

Morphogenesis utilizes a comprehensive approach to achieve net-zero energy, blending passive and active methods to reduce energy consumption and enhance efficiency. Additionally, the project incorporates various measures to decrease water usage and encourage reuse within its facilities.

Apart from receiving the IGBC certification, the project has also achieved certification under the WELL Building Standard, a globally renowned accreditation that recognizes projects for their designs aimed at improving the well-being and productivity of occupants. By emphasizing elements that contribute to healthier indoor environments, such as careful management of air and water quality and maximizing natural daylight, the business park promotes sustainability, optimization, and outstanding livability.

Strategically located along Chennai's burgeoning IT corridor, Phase-1 operations of the project have commenced. Upon completion, the expansive 5 million square feet (sq ft) business park will comprise four Grade A office blocks, catering to the needs of over 50,000 IT service professionals.
