India-US Trade Deal Nears Completion as Both Sides Resolve Key Issues

US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor stated that discussions for a bilateral trade agreement were progressing at an "incredible pace," and the "major items are completed," emphasizing his belief that both parties will successfully finalize the deal.
In an interactive session at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Gor similarly supported External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's evaluation of the advancement in the suggested India-US trade agreement, stating, "we are very close to finalizing it."
In response to inquiries about the negotiation progress, Gor stated, "I prefer not to go into too many specifics right now, and I'll leave that for the ministers to reveal." "However, in the broader context, significant tasks have been completed." "We're currently involved..." In less than three weeks after getting here, we revealed a trade agreement. The trade agreement of the European Union took nearly two decades. "We're moving at an astonishing speed, and I believe we will accomplish it," Gor stated.
The India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) was effectively finalized in January after almost 20 years of discussions.
"We have been engaged in this for a year and a half." "We are moving at an extraordinary speed, almost unprecedented, so I believe we will complete the deal," Gor stated.
